Description
Aylescombe Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of roughcast stone rubble and features an asbestos sheet roof with gabled ends. The building has two storeys and a two-window range, with 19th and 20th-century casement windows. To the right of a large stone chimney stack at the front, which has a set off and an oven projection with a slated roof, there is a plank door with a 20th-century hood. At the rear, there is a round stair projection. Inside, the cottage has thin chamfered ceiling beams and newel stairs at the rear, while the front fireplace has been blocked.
