Description
The Wicket is a house that was originally a range of cottages, with its exact original use unknown. It dates from the 18th century and is constructed of stone rubble. The building features a steeply pitched slate roof with gabled ends and stands two storeys high with attics. It has a four-window range, with restored sash windows that include glazing bars; the windows on the left are smaller. To the right, there is a 20th-century glazed door. A segmentally arched cartway is located to the left. The building has three 20th-century flat-roofed dormers and a stone rubble chimney stack at the south gable end, which has set offs. Beneath the eaves, there are two courses of pigeon holes, and at the rear, there are eight courses of pigeon holes, both with stone ledges. External stone stairs lead to the rear door.
