Description
Hill View is a cottage dating from the early to mid 16th century. It is constructed of rendered and limewashed rubble with a pantiled roof and rendered stacks. The building has two storeys and comprises three bays, featuring 20th-century two-light casement windows. There is a central 20th-century door and porch, along with a two-storey extension to the right. The east gable end has a projecting stack with offsets. Inside, the cottage includes rear winder stairs, chamfered beams, and a stop-chamfered wooden lintel above the fireplace in the west room. The roof consists of three bays with two unusual cruck trusses that are upper crucks truncated at the cambered collar, resembling middle crucks.
