Description

This is a terrace of ten houses, built in the 1860s and matching numbers 7 to 19 on the opposite side of the road. The houses extend to numbers 42 to 52 on South Road, and 56 to 62. The construction is of ashlar stone, with a mix of tiled and slate roofing. The houses are three storeys high, with an attic and basement. Each house has three sash windows, with the central bay extending up to the attic level. A cast iron balcony is present on the first floor of the central bay. The end bay and the central three houses feature tall gable dormers with a three-light window and segmental pediments; some retain scroll finials. The remaining houses have semi-circular stone dormer gables.
