Description

Bizley Farmhouse is a mid-19th century farmhouse that may incorporate an earlier building at the rear. It features snecked rubble with limestone dressings on the right and random rubble on the front left and left return. The roof is a two-span double Roman tiled design with crestings, stone ridge, and gable stacks. The building has two storeys and five bays.

On the left side, there are two 2-light casements on both the ground and first floors, each with chamfered surrounds and small gables with shaped bargeboards above the upper windows. To the right, there is a porch with a 4-centred arched chamfered opening, topped with a gable and bargeboards, and a quatrefoil in a circular surround above. A two-storey gabled projecting wing on the right features a ground floor 4-light casement with a relieving arch and a limestone string course raised over the window head. Above, there is a 2-light casement with pointed arched heads and a 4-centred arched surround, complemented by a wide flat limestone surround, bargeboards to the gable end, and limestone quoins.

On the right side, there is a 2-light casement on the ground floor and another 2-light casement with pointed arched lights on the first floor, with a small gable featuring pierced bargeboards above. The roof is half-hipped to the right. The left return has a two-span roof with a lower block behind, a door to the left, and a 2-light casement above, both with segmental heads. The rest of the building and the interior are not accessible.
