Description

A wall, railings, and gate located about 10 metres south of South Common Farmhouse form the front boundary of the farmhouse. This structure dates from the early 19th century. The wall is made of rubble with a stone coping and stands about one metre high, extending approximately 17 metres. It ramps up at each end. The wrought iron railings run along about 10 metres to the east and feature spearheaded designs with urn finials and scrolled struts at intervals. The off-centre gate has uprights with circular decoration, similar finials, and a horizontal strut topped with spear finials.
