Description
This is a monument to Charles Budd, located approximately 25 metres north of the Old Church of St. Mary. It was built in the early 19th century and is made of granite. The monument features a plinth with a moulded base and cornice, topped by an urn and a cross. A slate plaque commemorates Charles Budd, who died in 1831 at the age of 24 while returning from Mauritius.
