Description

Number 1 Higher Green is a detached cottage dating from around 1700. It features lias rubble walls and a thatched roof with gable ends. There is one rendered stack at the inner right-hand gable. The building has two storeys and includes two windows with two- and three-light wooden casements and wooden cills. The front door, located on the left side, is made of wood and has six glass panels, with a small 20th-century canopy above it. To the right, there is a one-bay extension that is also two storeys high, topped with a patent tile roof and featuring two 20th-century single-light windows on the ground floor.
