Description

Hollow Cottage is a cottage that was formerly a farmhouse, dating from the 18th century. It features coursed lias stone walls and a thatched roof, gabled at each end. There is a lower thatched and gabled extension on the right side. The building has three brick chimney stacks: one at the center behind the ridge, one at the right inner gable, and one at the far right gable. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows in the main block, which are two and three-light casements with renewed wooden sills and large stone voussoirs. The front door is centrally located, made of wood, and is a two-leaf design from the 20th century. The right-hand extension is a single storey and includes a four-light casement window along with two small single lights in the gable end.
