Description
Moorfields is a cottage, likely from the 18th century, constructed from local lias stone that is roughly cut and squared. It features a thatched roof with a coped gable on the west side and a plain gable on the east, along with brick chimney stacks. The cottage is single-storey with attics and consists of three bays, with the first bay probably being a later addition. It has casement windows with three lights and horizontal glazing bars. Above, set into the thatch, are three matching two-light windows positioned over the second bay, the door, and the third bay. Between the second and third bays, there is a 20th-century glazed door in a wide opening with a heavy frame, and all openings have timber lintels. There is also an additional thatched building located immediately to the rear. The interior has not been seen.
