Description
Roud Cottage is a cottage dating from the 18th century or earlier, constructed from coursed stone rubble sourced from the Isle of Wight, featuring ashlar quoins. It has a half-hipped thatched roof and a central brick chimney stack. The building is one storey high with attics in the gable end and has two windows. The front elevation includes a two-light stone mullioned window with a hood-moulding. On the right side, there is a late 20th-century twenty-pane fixed window set within an 18th-century architrave. A central thatched weather porch is also present. At the rear, there is a late 20th-century extension made of concrete blocks, topped with a thatched roof.
