Description

Fairfields is a farmhouse dating to circa 1760. The front of the building is constructed of ashlar, with the remainder of the structure built of coursed stone rubble. It has a slate roof and brick chimneystacks. The house is L-shaped, with five windows on the front elevation. The front elevation features two cambered six-pane dormers, and five twelve-pane sash windows with keystones. A central doorcase is present, featuring a wide wooden architrave with diamond patterns, panelled reveals, and a six-panelled door. A gable is located at the north end. The rear wing has three windows, incorporating both casements and sixteen-pane sash windows on the right-hand side. Two stone gabled weatherporches are present, the right-hand one featuring a six-panelled door.
