Description
The farm buildings located 30 metres north of Cards Mill Farmhouse date from the 18th century and consist of stables, a cider house, a barn, a cow stall, and a cow house. These buildings form a continuous range that creates a U-shape around a courtyard. The structure features stone-rubble sleeper walls with brick walls above. The stables retain their original partitions, creating four stalls. The north range includes the barn and cow stalls, with the cow stalls integrated under the eastern end of the barn. The barn is built with English Garden Wall bond and has raking stretchers, while the barn doors feature segmental arch-heads. The cow stalls accommodate approximately ten tethered animals back-to-back and have an openwork pattern of ventilation holes to the left of the door. The cow house is attached to the barn range and extends along the eastern side.
