Description

Church Farm House is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the early 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th and 19th centuries following fire damage. The building features rubble stone walls and a tiled roof with coped gables, with one chimney stack at the left end and another to the right of the center. It is two storeys high. The entrance door is set in a moulded stone surround. On the ground floor, there are two stone mullioned windows with casements, all beneath a continuous string course that steps up over the door. The first floor has three 19th-century casements with glazing bars, positioned under stone arches. Inside, the cross-passage displays deep chamfered ceiling beams and some plank and muntin type panelling. At the rear, there is an extension that is partly two storeys and partly single-storey, topped with a catslide roof.
