Farmhouse. Probably early C17 - may be of earlier origin. Rubble stone walls, slate roof. Brick end stacks, and one right of door. 3-room and cross-passage plan. 2 storeys. C20 ledged door under 4-centred stone arch. Ground floor has 3 casements with horizontal glazing bars. First floor has one 2-light stone mullioned window, and 3 casements with glazing bars. Left ground floor room has open fireplace with brick arch and bread oven. Chamfered ceiling beam. Hall, in centre, has intersecting moulded ceiling beams, and large open fireplace with timber lintel and moulded timber jambs. Lean-to extensions at rear, under catslide roofs. (RCHM Monument 11.
