Description
Frampton Farm House is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the early 17th century, though it may have earlier origins. The building features rubble stone walls and a slate roof, with brick stacks at the ends and one to the right of the door. It has a three-room and cross-passage layout and stands two storeys tall. The front entrance includes a 20th-century ledged door set beneath a four-centred stone arch. On the ground floor, there are three casement windows with horizontal glazing bars, while the first floor has one two-light stone mullioned window and three casements with glazing bars. The left room on the ground floor contains an open fireplace with a brick arch and a bread oven, along with a chamfered ceiling beam. The central hall features intersecting moulded ceiling beams and a large open fireplace with a timber lintel and moulded timber jambs. At the rear, there are lean-to extensions with catslide roofs.
