Description
Parkside Farm House is a farmhouse dating to around the 16th and 17th centuries. It is constructed of roughcast stone rubble, with a slate hipped roof. The house is one-and-a-half storeys high and has a four-window front. It features 19th-century two- and three-light casement windows with glazing bars. On the ground floor, the two windows to the left have chamfered granite frames; the left window has three lights, while the right window has two lights but is missing its mullion. Four attic windows are set in the eaves, each with a flat head. A plank door is located to the right of centre, sheltered by a 20th-century gabled porch. Two brick chimney stacks are visible on the rear wall, one being notably large and displaying set-offs. A later rear lean-to has been added. A rear wing extends to form an L-shaped plan, and includes an external stone staircase leading to the loft.
Inside, the house has fielded panelling on either side of the cross passage and chamfered ceiling beams. A fireplace has been blocked.
