Description

The bridge over the River Frome is an 18th-century road bridge located on Dorchester Road in Frome Vauchurch. It is constructed of brick and features four segmental arches, measuring 12 metres in length and designed for double-track use. The downstream arches have four projecting stone keys and brick piers, while the upstream side has only one surviving cutwater, with the arches lacking keys. This bridge is one of a pair of 18th-century bridges situated at the west end of Maiden Newton village.
