Description
Sarah's Cottage is a detached house that appears to have once been four cottages, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The building features plastered cob walls resting on a base of flint and brick, topped with a hipped thatched roof. There are two brick stacks positioned away from the ends of the house. It stands two storeys high and is oriented at right angles to the road.
On the east front, there is a 20th-century glazed door sheltered by a flat hood supported on brackets. The ground floor includes four casement windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has four casements as well, three of which have glazing bars and one featuring some lead lights. Inside, one of the ground floor rooms boasts a large open fireplace with a timber lintel and a bread oven, along with some exposed ceiling beams.
