Description
The Village Hall and attached barn, located on the east side, dates from the mid-19th century but includes a former 17th-century entrance archway from Manor Farm House. This building was once part of a "model" farm group. The walls are constructed of flint with brick banding, and the roofs are slate, featuring a parapet and coped gables on the main section. There are circular stone end stacks on this section. The main part of the building is two storeys high, while the wing on the left is single storey.
In the main section, the reset 17th-century archway has a moulded stone design with a segmental head and a pair of timber doors. Flanking this archway on the ground floor are two 2-light stone mullioned windows with hoodmoulds and cast iron lattice glazing. On the first floor, there are two similar 3-light windows beneath gables that have moulded stone copings and circular finials topped with castellated caps. An iron weathervane is positioned at the centre of the roof.
The single-storey wing on the left features a pair of oak doors within a moulded stone surround that includes a hoodmould. There is also one 2-light stone mullioned window under a hoodmould, which has diamond lead lights. The attached barn on the right is built in a similar style.
