Description
The Bothy is a detached cottage that was likely built in the 18th century and originally served as a gardener's cottage. It features walls made of brick with flint banding and has a hipped tiled roof at the right end. There are two brick stacks, one at the left gable and another at the rear right end. The building consists of one storey and an attic, with a brick plat band at the attic floor level. The ground floor has a ledged door and two casement windows set under gauged brick arches, framed in a Gothic style with leaded lights. The attic includes four gabled dormers with shaped bargeboards and similar casements. The eaves have a scalloped fascia. Attached to the cottage are brick garden walls on both the north and south sides, which feature shallow buttresses at intervals and curved brick copings, contributing to the picturesque appearance of the property.
