Description
Crown Cottage is a detached house that was formerly two cottages, likely built in the mid-18th century. The walls are constructed of flint with brick banding, topped by a thatched roof and featuring brick stacks at each end. The building has two storeys and an attic, with dormer windows located only on the rear elevation. A ledged door is set in a gabled tiled porch. Both the ground and first floors have three casement windows with glazing bars, with one of the ground floor windows replacing a former door. The main room on the ground floor includes a large open fireplace with a timber lintel, and there are some exposed chamfered ceiling beams throughout.
