Description

The Old Post Office and Honeysuckle Cottage are a pair of cottages likely dating from the 18th century. They are constructed with plastered cob walls resting on a flint base, and have hipped thatched roofs with brick stacks on the ridge. The cottages are one storey high with an attic. Honeysuckle Cottage has a part-glazed panelled door, two casement windows with cast iron glazing on the ground floor, and a half dormer window in the attic with similar casements. An attached boundary wall to the right is built of cob on a flint and brick base with a tiled capping. The Old Post Office also has a part-glazed panelled door, two casement windows with cast iron glazing on the ground floor, a former 20th-century shop window, and two half-dormer windows in the attic with casements having cast iron glazing.
