Description
Lower Farm House is a farmhouse with origins in the 18th century, which was enlarged to the north in the 19th century. The original section, now used as service rooms, features brick walls and a thatched roof. The 19th-century addition is L-shaped and connects to the original range, with walls that are partly made of brick on a flint base and partly of flint with brick banding. The building has a thatched roof with two brick chimneys, one at the north end and another at the angle of the two wings.
The main range, oriented at right angles to the road, includes a six-panel door set in a trellised porch. The ground floor has two casement windows with glazing bars, while the attic features two gabled dormers, each with similar casement windows. The range that runs parallel to the road has one casement window with glazing bars on the ground floor and one gabled dormer with similar casements in the attic. A boundary wall made of brick on a flint base, topped with rounded capping, runs along the road.
