Description

This is a row of five cottages dating from the 18th and early 19th centuries. The cottages are constructed of brick, with Ibbespen House and number 3 having colourwashed brickwork. Ibbespen House and number 3 have thatched roofs, while the remaining cottages have slated roofs. Brick stacks are located at the ends of the row and between the cottages. The row has two storeys and a nine-window range. Ibbespen House features casement windows with glazing bars and a panelled door to the right. Number 3 has casement windows with leaded lights and a two- and three-light design, with a part-glazed panelled door set beneath a segmental hood supported by brackets. The remaining cottages primarily have 16-pane sash windows, with the ground floor openings set beneath segmental brick arches. They have 20th-century replacement doors.
