Description

This is a row of four cottages, now reduced to three, dating from the late 18th or early 19th century, and likely built in phases. The cottages are constructed of brick and render, with a whitewashed exterior and applied mock timber framing, which appears to be from the late 19th or early 20th century. They have a thatched roof with a cat-slide to the rear, and brick stacks at the ends of the original cottages. The buildings are two storeys high, with a seven-window facade. Number 29 has two-light windows with wrought-iron casements and leaded lights. The other cottages have a mix of sash windows and two-light casements, some with glazing bars. Number 29 has a thatched porch, number 28 a flat hood, and number 26 a glazed door. The cottages are of group value, reflecting their contribution to the streetscape.
