Description

Marigold Cottage is a pair of cottages that have been converted into a single house, dating from the 17th century. The exterior features rendered, whitewashed walls topped with a thatched roof that is half-hipped to the right. There are brick stacks located on the left and near the center of the building. The cottage stands two storeys high and has a four-window range with casement windows that include glazing bars. A 20th-century garage is situated to the right of the cottage. The entrance is marked by a plank door. Inside, there are roughly chamfered beams and a large open fireplace, as noted in the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments for Dorset.
