Description
Keyneston Mill is a mill and millhouse from the early 19th century. It features a combination of rendered and English-bond brickwork, topped with slate roofs and various brick stacks. The building is arranged in an L-shape, with a symmetrical main facade that is two storeys high and has three bays. It includes 16-pane sash windows and a central plush-panelled, part-glazed door. The openings of the building are adorned with keystones, and there is a four-panel brick door on the side range. The mill structure itself consists of three storeys.
Inside, much of the original mill machinery remains, including the remains of an undershot waterwheel, three peak stones, and extensive shafting and pulleys.
