Description

Nos. 1 and 2, Upper Street are a house, originally two cottages, dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. The building is constructed of brick with a tiled roof, and features end brick stacks. It has two storeys and a four-window range. The windows are sash windows with vertical glazing bars, set within segmental brick arches. Each of the original cottages has a front doorway with a segmental hood supported on shaped brackets. There is a plank door on the right-hand side and a 20th-century glazed door on the left. 19th-century brick extensions have been added to the left and right.
