Description

The war memorial, located 10 meters east of the Baker's Arms in Child Okeford, was built around 1920 and is attributed to the designer Ponting. Constructed from stone, it takes the form of a Dorset market cross, similar to those found in Stalbridge. The memorial features a four-step base, a square plinth, and an octagonal shaft that bears carved figures and crochetted standards, topped with a carved headpiece.
