Description
Marvels Cottage, with an outbuilding, is a detached cottage dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of rubble and has a thatched roof. The cottage is isolated, approached across fields, and is located approximately 125 meters northeast of The Meadows, adjacent to the River Wey.
The building has two storeys and originally featured two windows, all of which are now blocked. On the first floor, there is a wide opening and a square opening, while the ground floor has a square opening and a blocked doorway, with remnants of a former porch. There are stacks at each gable end.
Attached to the left of the cottage is a single-storey outbuilding made of rubble, topped with a corrugated asbestos roof; this outbuilding was formerly two storeys high. The rear wall of the cottage also has all openings blocked, with two windows on each level, positioned towards the right. The interior of the cottage includes boxed ceiling beams.
