Description
The Old Coxwain's Cottage is a house located at the end of a row on Nothe Parade in Weymouth. It dates from the late 18th century and features a rendered exterior with a tiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with one window. Above, there is a hipped dormer with two lights and boarded cheeks. Below, a canted oriel window with small-pane casements and a sliding horizontal sash in three lights is present. To the left of the oriel, there is a plank door set in a small gabled porch with shallow cheeks. The left return gable has a two-light casement window on the first floor. The rear of the building has modern extensions and a dormer with boarded cheeks. The interior has not been inspected. This cottage is included for its group value at the end of the row, although it has undergone significant modifications since it was previously listed.
