Description
This is a mid-to-late 18th century house forming part of a row along Nothe Parade in Weymouth. It is constructed with Flemish bond brickwork, although the side elevations are rendered. The roof is slate, hipped in style. The house is three storeys high and has two windows at the front. The windows are small 12-pane sashes set within moulded flush boxes, each topped by a wide, straight stone lintel with a keystone. A canted oriel with steel casements sits above the ground floor, with two deeper 12-pane sashes at the second floor level. A 6-panel fielded door, partially glazed, is located to the left, set into deep reveals within a pilaster doorcase with a moulded cornice and a stone step. A Portland stone plinth extends up to the ground floor sill height, and the brickwork features flared headers. The parapet is coped, and stacks are located along the right-hand party wall. A small raking dormer is present at the rear. The interior has not been inspected, but records indicate it features an unusual, large kitchen range extending towards the rear of the property.
