Description
Bayard Cabin is a narrow house in a row, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick and features a slate roof. The building stands three storeys high and has one window. A notable feature is the two-storey canted oriel window, which has plain sash windows and a boarded lower skirt above paired plain sashes with a segmental head and a deep stone sill. To the left of the oriel, there is a 19th-century four-panel door with a shallow transom light above it. The moulded parapet cornice extends across the oriel, which is uncommon for small town houses in Weymouth, suggesting that the oriel was likely added in the later 19th century. The interior has not been inspected.
