Description
Bow Bells is a pair of houses located on Nothe Parade in Weymouth, dating from the early 19th century. The buildings are rendered and scribed with a slate roof and rise to three storeys. Each house features one window above another, with 16-pane sash windows on the upper floors. Below, there is a bold oriel window with an arrangement of 8:12:8 panes, topped with a small modillion cornice and a deep skirt. The ground floor of No. 5 has a 16-pane sash window, while No. 6 has a plain display window. To the left of No. 5, there is a six-panel 19th-century door that includes a shallow transom light set in an arched head, featuring imposts and an open-book keystone within a reeded architrave. No. 6 has a similar door but with a four-panel design. The fanlights above the doors have a reversed fan decoration. The interior has not been inspected.
