Description
Nos 7 and 8 Church Street are a pair of early 19th century houses that are now used as one building. They feature brick walls and a low pitched slate roof, rising to three storeys. The ground floor has two modern glazed doors, each with original ornamental fanlights set under semi-circular arches. No 7 includes a 3-light double-hung sash window with glazing bars, while No 8 has a modern canted bay window with glazing bars. On the first and second floors, each house has two double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, with the windows in No 7 being slightly wider than those in No 8. Inside, one staircase has been removed, but the remaining staircase features square balusters and a mahogany handrail. Some original panelled doors and cornices are still present.
