Description
Old Town House is a pair of similar houses located on Church Street, dating from the 18th century. They feature brick walls that are colourwashed, a tiled roof, and a brick dentil cornice at the eaves, with brick stacks. The buildings are two storeys high with attics.
Number 9 has a central part-glazed door on the ground floor, set within a classical surround that includes a pedimented hood on brackets and reeded pilasters. It also has a bow window with glazing bars and one later window with top-hung lights. The first floor features two double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, while the attic includes one dormer with a hipped roof and casements.
Number 10 has a part-glazed door and a shop front on the ground floor, which is likely from the 19th century, with a moulded timber surround and vertical glazing bars. The first floor has two modern metal casements, and the attic has one dormer with a hipped roof and side-hung casements.
