Description
Burrcombe Cottage is a detached cottage built in the mid-18th century. It features rubble stone walls and a thatched roof with gable ends. There is a rendered stack on the left-hand gable and a brick stack on the right-hand gable. The cottage is 1½ storeys high and has a symmetrical facade with two windows. The windows are three-light wooden casements with glazing bars, dating from the 20th century, and have concrete lintels above them. The front door, located at the center, is made of wood and has six glass panels, also from the 20th century. A hipped thatch porch canopy supported by two wooden posts covers the entrance. Historically, the cottage served as the Parish Poorhouse.
