Detached Farmhouse. Dated 1787 on west gable end, probable earlier core. Dressed stone walls, rendered on west gable. Slate roof with stone gable-copings, and moulded kneeler-blocks. Stone stacks at each gable with moulded stone cornices. 2 storeys and attics. 3 windows, symmetrical facade. 3-light ovolo stone mullions. 2-light over front door. Iron casements with leaded lights. separate labels over. Front door, on south wall, plank and studded, C18, long strap hinges extend beyond edge of door, with a hasp-and-pin lock. Rear door (north), recess panels and 2 top lights. Wooden lintel over. Interior: Double-pile, with larger rooms on south. Central corridor- passage, backs round beside staircase to rear lobby-entrance. Flagstone floors. Source: R.C.H.M. Dorset I, p 156(4).
