Description
Pipsford Farmhouse and the attached cottage are early 19th-century buildings. The farmhouse features rubble-stone walls with stone dressings and quoins, topped with a slate roof that has stone gable-copings. There are brick stacks at both the left and right gables. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three windows with renewed sashes that include glazing bars. An ashlar stone porch with stone gable-coping and a slate roof leads to a round-arch entrance, which has a projecting dropped keystone that may have been added later. The front door is a plank style with two top lights, dating from the 19th century.
The attached cottage, also from the 19th century, has ashlar stone walls and a concrete tile roof with stone gable-coping. It features one brick stack at the ridge and is two storeys tall with approximately four windows that are 20th-century wooden casements set in the original openings. The front door is located on the right side and is a plank style with an asbestos slate canopy above. There is also a stable door on the left side and an integral pentice-roof outshut at the left end.
