Description
Vale Cottage is a small roadside cottage dating from the early 19th century. It features coursed rubble-stone walls and a thatched roof with gable ends and stone gable copings. The cottage is 1½ storeys high and has two gabled dormers on the front. There are two windows, which are 2-light wood casements with glazing bars, wood cills, and lintels. The former door position at the center of the cottage is now blocked and has been replaced with a 2-light casement. The front door is now located in a pentice-roofed outshut at the north end and is a plank door with weatherboarding. Additionally, there is an attached front garden wall made of squared rubble walls with rough coping stones, measuring approximately 7 meters by 8 meters by 7 meters.
