Description
Hope Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with alterations made in the early 18th century. It is constructed from rubble and features a tiled gable-ended roof, with a brick stack located near the center of the building. The farmhouse is designed in an L-shape and has two storeys with attics, presenting an irregular range of five windows. The north wing and the south facade are adorned with three-light stone mullioned windows that have moulded surrounds and are set under brick relieving arches. The entrance is located in the lobby area. Inside, the central room showcases intersecting, deep chamfered beams and wall-plates, which are decorated with carved bosses that bear monograms.
