Description
Bishopstone Court Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates back to the 16th century but was largely rebuilt in the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble with ashlar dressings and features a hipped slate roof. The building is L-shaped, with the front range extending to the south and a rear wing to the east. There is a lateral stack on the west wall of the front range. The east front has three storeys and three windows, all of which are 3-light casements set under stone wedge lintels with stone sills. The entrance is located in the right-hand (north) return wall. The rear wing includes a garderobe tower that rises the full three storeys on the west gable. Inside, there is a stone three-centred arch above the fireplace in the central room of the front range, and the exposed ceiling beams are chamfered and stopped.
