Description
The Court House is a house located in the garden of Litton Cheney Village, built in the later 19th century, following a fire in 1800. It features rubble-stone walls with stone quoins and a stone plat band with a moulded soffit. The roof is slate, hipped with projecting bracketed eaves. There is one rendered stack at the ridge, positioned to the right of center, and another at the right-hand eaves. The building has a pedimented bay at the center and is two storeys tall, with three windows. The ground floor window is slightly smaller, featuring stone mullions and moulded stone architraves, while the upper windows are sashes with glazing bars. The front doorway is centrally located, framed by stone pilasters, volute brackets, and a moulded cornice, with a rectangular transom light above. A rear wing and outshuls to the east and north are also included in the listing.
