Ottaway'S Pottery Shop And Adjoining House

Ottaway's Pottery Shop and adjoining house, formerly known as The Gift Shop, is a building likely dating from the late 18th century. It features rubble stone walls and a stone slate roof, with a brick stack located near the center. The main block consists of one storey and an attic.

On the left end of the gable wall, there is a shop door and a 20th-century shop window with glazing bars. Above, in the attic, is a casement window with a central horizontal glazing bar. The main elevation includes a square bay shop window with glazing bars and a simple moulded cornice on the left end. To the right of this bay, there are two sash windows with vertical glazing bars, both set under asymmetrical brick arches.

The attic features two hipped dormers: one with casement windows and the other with horizontally sliding sashes, both equipped with glazing bars. To the left of the main shop, there is a 20th-century extension behind a stone wall that was formerly a garden. This extension includes a glazed shop door and a small shop window with glazing bars.
