Description
This pair of cottages, dating from the 18th century, is located adjacent to the National Westminster Bank to the south in Sturminster Newton. The cottages are constructed of brick in Flemish bond and feature a thatched roof with end brick stacks. They are two stories high and have a three-window range. On the ground floor, there are two canted bays; the left bay has four-pane windows, while the right bay has glazing bars. The central doors include one on the left that is set under a segmental arch and a narrow double door on the right. Above the doors, there are two wooden casements with glazing bars, flanking a blank opening.
