Description
The building is a railway overbridge, constructed in 1885 for the Swanage Railway, likely designed by W R Galbraith. It is made from cut and squared, rock-faced Purbeck stone and features minimal ornamentation. The bridge has a single-span segmental arch with a single row of voussoirs, battered abutments, and a string course. The parapet walls and end piers are topped with rock-faced coping.
