Description
Holditch Court Farmhouse, possibly formerly a gatehouse, dates from around 1500 and underwent significant alterations in the 17th century, with extensions added in the 18th century. The farmhouse features rubble walls with stone quoins and dressings, along with stone buttresses that have set-offs. The roof is made of tile and slate, supported by brick stacks. It stands two storeys high and has a six-window range, showcasing stone-mullioned and wood-framed casements. The mullions are decorated with cavetto and ovolo moulds. At the east end, the windows have 18th-century brick dressing and projecting stone keys. A former stone-coped gable line is visible at the west end, beneath the current structure. An attached cottage and stables are located at the west end of the farmhouse.
