Description
West Fossil Farm House is an 18th-century farmhouse located on the north side of Dorchester Road in Chaldon Herring. The building features brick walls, a slate roof, and brick stacks, and it stands two storeys tall. The main east elevation includes a central six-panel part-glazed door set within a trellis porch that has a slate roof. On the ground floor, there are two double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has three similar windows. Inside, the north ground floor room showcases an exposed chamfered ceiling beam. The staircase features square balusters and a simple moulded handrail. The house was under repair at the time of the survey.
