Description
Grange Farm House is an 18th-century farmhouse located on the north side of Church Lane in Spixworth. The building features whitewashed brick that is partly rendered and has a steeply-pitched slate roof. It has two storeys and an attic, with an L-shaped plan. The south facade includes a range of three windows, which are two-light casements with glazing bars and architraves. There is a doorway on the left side with a plain wooden door surround and a platband at the first floor level. The gables are parapeted with tumbling, and there is a chimney stack at the east gable. An attic casement is located high in the west gable. There is possibly an earlier wing at the rear that has a large axial stack and features two- and three-light casements with glazing bars, as well as a lead-roofed dormer. The north gable is also parapeted. A lower 1½-storey west range is present but is not of special interest.
