Description

The barn at the site of Spixworth Hall is a 17th-century three-stead threshing barn. It is constructed of red brick and features a steeply-pitched pantiled roof. The building has a moulded brick plinth and a staged brick buttress at the north-west corner. On the north side, there is a large double door opening, along with three staged brick buttresses, two blocked segmental-headed openings, and a later segmental-headed doorway. The gables are crow-stepped and include ventilation loops. Inside, the roof is supported by butt-purlins and straight windbraces.
